Booking a Taxi

Our app is the quick and easy way to book a taxi in Hastings, St Leonards and the surrounding areas.

Frequently Asked

Service area

Our service area includes the following postcodes; TN34, TN35, TN36, TN37 and TN38.

  • Bookings that start within our service area can be made using our taxi app (up to 50 miles).
  • Bookings that start outside our service area cannot be made via the app, and should instead be made using the long distance booking form.

We can only accept bookings that either start or finish within our service area.

Getting a quote

Estimates can be obtained by filling out your journey details in either the app or the long distance form.

You don't need to register for an account to get a quote.

No vehicles available

The app displays this message for the following reasons;

  • All our drivers are currently busy.
  • The booking slots for your requested time are already taken.
  • The pick up location is outside our service area.

'Finding Driver' taking too long

It generally takes the dispatch system less than a minute to locate an available taxi.

However, during peak times bookings are queued and you may have to wait for other customers to be assigned first.

If it says 'booking accepted' then you have been assigned to a driver. The estimated arrival time will update once they have finished their current job.

We understand that you might not want to wait and instead try one of our competitors. Before abandoning a booking, we'd really appreciate it if you could press CANCEL so that our drivers are not sent on a fool's errand.

Note: Your account may be suspended if we suspect that you're making bookings with multiple companies at the same time.

Booking Confirmation

A confirmation email with details of your advance booking will be sent to you.

We'll let you know if we're unable to fulfil an accepted booking and offer alternative time slots.

A text message is sent when your driver is on their way and again when they are waiting at your location.

All bookings remain active unless cancelled.

How long will the taxi wait?

Our policy is to wait up to 5 minutes after the agreed pick up time. The driver will attempt to contact you before abandoning the booking.

If you require more time, please contact your driver directly via the app or from the text notification that we send you.

6/7/8 seater vehicles?

Sorry, we don’t currently have any of these types of vehicles in our fleet.

Phone verification

When you register for an account we verify your phone number with a one-time passcode. You'll need to enter this code before making your first booking, but not for any subsequent bookings.

This is necessary because we've had issues with fake bookings in the past.

Adding extra stops

The app doesn't currently have this feature. If you require extra stops or a "wait and return";

  • Enter your starting and finishing locations
  • Add a message for driver with the extra stops

Changing a booking

Accepted bookings cannot be edited.

If a driver has already been assigned, you can call them direct from within the app by pressing the phone icon. Otherwise, you will have to cancel and re-book.

Arriving by train

We pick up from these stations:

  • Hastings
  • Warrior Square
  • West St Leonards
  • Ore

Leave a note when making your booking to let us know which train you’re arriving on and we will check with National Rail Enquiries to ensure that a car will be waiting for you, even if your train is delayed.

There is a taxi rank outside Hastings station.

Travelling with pets

Carriage of pets is entirely at the driver's discretion. Please leave a note when making a booking to avoid disappointment.

Assistance dogs are never refused.

A charge of up to £120 may be levied for any fouling of the vehicle.

Cancellation fees

Local journeys

We do not charge cancellation fees for local journeys.

However, be aware that drivers may be reluctant to accept future bookings from customers who frequently cancel at short notice.

Long distance journeys

You will be charged a fee if you cancel whilst the driver is on their way to collect you.

The fee will be our standard tariff applied to the distance the driver has travelled from Hastings town centre.

Pick-ups from outside our service area are always paid in advance and the fees will be deducted from any refunds.

Carriage of goods

Our saloon cars have the capacity to carry up to 4 medium sized suitcases.

We may refuse to transport items that are heavy, bulky, dirty, flammable or emit unpleasant odours.

  • We won’t help you move house.
  • We don’t do rubbish clearance or 'tip runs'.
  • We’re not going to put your shopping away for you.
  • We’re not allowed to carry an extra person in the boot.
  • We will help carry your baggage between the car and your door.

Lost property

Get in touch as soon as possible if you've left something in one of our taxis. We will always try to reunite lost property with its rightful owner.

  • Passports will be returned to the Passport Office or the relevant embassy or consulate.
  • Driving licences will be returned to the address on the licence.
  • Bank cards will be returned to the nearest branch.
  • Perishable goods will either be eaten by the driver or fed to the seagulls.

All other unclaimed items will be disposed of after 28 days.
